THE ROYAL JUBILEE
The inspiration behind the Royal Jubilee was to create
an iconic drink to symbolize the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen
Elizabeth II to the throne. The exquisite concoction combines some of British
favorite flavors with the finest ingredients available. With a bespoke
combination of chamomile tea and bergamot juice, the drink blends the genever
kick and the elderflower liqueur freshness finishing with a indulgent edible
gold leaf.
INGREDIENTS
50 ml Bols Genever
30 ml Homemade Bergamot
& Chamomile Cordial
15 ml Bols Elderflower Liqueur
1 Edible Gold Leaf
GARNISH: Bergamot Twist.
METHOD
Prepare the homemade Bergamot & Chamomile Cordial
by mixing 1/3 of Chamomile Tea, 1/3 of Chamomile Syrup 2:1 and 1/3 of Freshly
Squeezed Bergamot Juice.
In a chilled cocktail shaker shake all the ingredients
and single strain it in to a chilled martini glass.
Strip a generous peel of bergamot and squeeze the
essential oils over the glass to enhance the drink´s aroma.Shape it and place
it in the rim.
